When you think you have seen it all, a new tech company or the other comes up with the unimaginable.

Infertility has affected parents around the world since time immemorial, while IVF, surrogacy, and adoption, have always been out as options, conceiving a child for biological parents has become significantly easier.

The thought of infants being produced in an incubator or a factory-like setup can be passed as a scene from a science fiction movie.

This is what on December 9th was witnessed by audiences around the globe when Hashem Al-Ghaili launched his brainchild, The EctoLife.

Closely resembling the scene from the Matrix starring none other than Keanu Reeves, where babies were being produced in a pod environment, the concept of artificial pregnancy has now come one step closer to reality.

Ectolife is a concept of Artificial Womb Facility, designed by Hashem Al-Ghaili who is a biotechnologist.

If the video “EctoLife: The World’s First Artificial Womb Facility” has left you scratching your head like many others, do not sit perplexed or in a daze.

Here is all you need to know about the revolutionary concept of EctoLife The world’s first artificial womb.

So What’s the Hype Behind EctoLife?

So, to tackle the problem pertaining to natural pregnancies the concept of EctoLife was introduced by Hashem Al-Ghaili a filmmaker, a science communicator, and a molecular biologist, after up to 50 years of rigorous research.

This concept has proven to be groundbreaking and revolutionary by researchers across the globe.

According to the video uploaded on YouTube by Hashem Al-Ghaili on December 9th, 2022, EctoLifeis “groundbreaking scientific research conducted by researchers worldwide”.

In fact, EctoLife has come as a saving grace for most infertile parents to help them become biological parents by providing them with an artificially simulated environment that incubates embryos.

According to the video, The EctoLife transparent Pods will be able to develop over 30,000 infants in a perfectly curated environment for optimum growth.

This Artificial Womb facility will be running renewable energy and is remaining to develop about 75 new labs that will house up to 400 growth pods or “artificial wombs”

These Growth Pods have been manufactured and programmed to provide the embryo with the exact same environment as the mother’s womb.

According to the WHO (World Health Organization) around 300,000 deaths are reported worldwide linked to pregnancy complications.

EctoLife has been developed to reduce the pain and suffering caused by human pregnancy, C-sections, and premature births.

The Artificial womb is based on an AI (artificial intelligence) program that monitors the physical features of the infant to report any potential genetic abnormalities.

What is an artificial Womb Exactly?

Upon the removal of ethical limitations, according to Hashem Al-Ghaili artificial wombs will become the new method of procreating in about 10 years.

All the features mentioned in the video have been scientifically developed by researchers, scientists, and engineers across the globe.

The “artificial womb” is the most noticeable feature of the EctoLife itself, these wombs are scientifically developed growth environments or incubators that will facilitate development and track the progress and health of the infant.

However, based on ethical restrictions and guidelines, after testing the human embryos should be destroyed after 14 days of experimentation.

The Elite Package: What will you get?

What makes this new technology more absurd and head-scratching is the availability of an “Elite Package” Membership.

While premium membership for your favorite OTT platform has somehow become a norm, EctoLife is integrating a similar concept to provide parents with certain added privileges.

Just like the premium membership of any other program, software, or streaming platform, with The EctoLife Elite Package, you as a parent will get certain privileges that can allow you to modify and alter the appearance of your infant.

Yes, you read that right, as explained by Mirror.co.uk, the elite package will allow parents to “genetically engineer the embryo before implanting it into the artificial womb”.

With this elite package, parents will be able to change or alter the infant’s hair color, hair type, skin tone, eye color, height, weight, and even physical strength.

But you may be wondering how this is even possible, well, according to the Metro,  “CRISPR-Cas 9 gene editing tool, you can edit any trait of your baby through a wide range of over 300 genes”.

So, one can say this particular Elite Package membership will allow parents to set their child up for optimum success by genetic modifications and eliminating any form of genetic abnormalities or genetic diseases.

What is the need for EctoLife anyway?

The emotions of the receiving audience have been mixed as per YouTube comments, with most left scratching their heads in confusion, questioning its needs or legitimacy.

Most experts are claiming “EctoLife: The World’s First Artificial Womb Facility” to be a far-fetched imaginary technology.

According to the video, EctoLife or Artificial wombs are a great way to tackle the declining population crisis in countries such as Japan, Bulgaria, and South Korea.

Furthermore, it is one way for infertile parents to conceive biological children with efficient tools and a simulated environment that secures the infant’s future.

EctoLife is a solution for all the problems linked to natural pregnancies. It eliminates premature births, genetic abnormalities, and the immense pains or deaths that are linked to natural pregnancies.
